Experienced Senior Couple required to cover Estate Manager and Housekeeper roles within this private country Estate located in rural Suffolk-between Stowmarket and Hadleigh.

The ideal couple will have fully referenced, previous employment working within a private household carrying out the same or similar roles.

This is a live in position and a fully furnished detached property with a garden will be offered as well as a generous joint salary. The accommodation is for two people only, sorry no dependants however a well behaved dog will be considered.

The Estate Manager will:-

• Be responsible for the housework within this beautiful country house and be very hands on with all the duties and capable of high standard cleaning.

• Carry out security duties

• Be an experienced grounds/handyperson

• Have a clean driving licence and be able to carry out chauffeuring duties when required

• Be hands on as far as general gardening, keeping grounds, driveways etc clear and tidy

• Liaise with suppliers, tradesmen and other visitors to the property 

• Be polite, well presented with a friendly personality

• Be organised, keep accurate records and manage staff rotas

• Keep the vehicles clean and manage service dates, etc

The Housekeeper will:-

• Responsible for housework of this beautiful country house

• Have very high standards and a good eye for detail

• Manage other housekeepers to keep everyone aware of what needs doing and when

• Keep the house immaculate at all times

• Manage laundry and ironing

• Make up beds, deal with linen and ensure guest rooms are always clean

• Assist when required in the kitchen

• Liaise with suppliers, tradesmen, etc

• Keep flowers in the house refreshed

• Make sure fires are cleaned and freshly laid.

• Organise kitchen and keep cupboards stocked

Car drivers essential due to location and driving duties.
