Full time Guardian/Housekeeping job – France

Anglo/Dutch older couple need an on-premises guardian/housekeeper for their vineyard in the Bordeaux region.

€21k + social charges and accommodation included. 

Guardian required to maintain security at the property while the couple are away. The willingness to be flexible as to when time-off is taken is essential.

Duties to include:

• 1. Pet care comprising feeding and playing with the couple’s six year old springer Penny, who is to remain on the premises.
• 2. Housekeeping including cleaning, laundry and shopping to put the house in order for couple’s next visit;
• 3. Maintaining the terrace and garden (approximately 2acres)
• 4. When the couple are in residence duties will also include:
• 5. Cooking regular meals
• 6. Driving Mrs V into town as requested.

The role may be ideal for a dynamic retired individual who enjoys elder-care as both Mr and Mrs V are in their 90’s and welcome discreet, sensitive assistance to help maintain their independence.

A one bedroom flat in the gatehouse is included with the job. The flat is currently unfurnished but with all white goods installed. The flat can be furnished reasonably upon request.

The guardian will be expected to remain at the premises to maintain security and look after Penny when the couple is away (including Christmas and Easter) but will have light work duties in those times and the opportunity to take time away when the couple’s son comes to stay (twice a year for around 6 weeks)

Driving licence is essential, car is available for work use 

DBS and excellent checkable references are required.
