House Assistant required to help run a well-maintained country home. This position is for someone who can commit to a daily routine but also offer some flexibility when guests and family stay during holiday periods.
Duties include:
•             Housekeeping - Ensuring the house is tidy and clean at all times. Making beds, tidying rooms, washing, ironing and dry cleaning (bed linen is sent out for cleaning) 
•             Deep Cleaning - Kitchen and chandeliers will require deep cleaning and you will need to be able to climb a ladder to clean the light fittings. In addition, spring and early summer cleaning of the outside fascia’s ensuring cobwebs cleaned from porch rafters.
•             Driving - The house is in a rural position so a car and clean licence is essential.

Applicants should be a happy and dedicated House Assistant with an eye for detail and experience of working in a private household.  Someone who is organised, tidy and creates their own routine, you must be pro-active. You should have a full-clean driving licence and an up to date DBS.

Salary and Hours -16.5 hours per week, 6 hours per day, 30 minutes for lunch - lunch break not paid (5.5 hours per day) 20 days paid holiday, annual/Bank holidays not paid. 

Rate of pay £20 per hour. Travel time to and from employment @ rate of £20 per hour. Travel to and from work costs paid @ 45 pence per mile.
