Lauderdale Estate near Lauder in the Scottish Borders is looking for a dedicated and responsible couple to join the team. The role comes with a two-bed cottage on the estate.

The Housekeeping role will be 37.5 hours per week, split broadly between housekeeping in the owner’s private property and assisting the housekeeping team at Thirlestane Castle Trust with the turn-over of short stay holiday accommodation.

The responsibilities will include:

· Cleaning and housekeeping duties including laundry.

· Assisting with occasional service and cooking.

· Occasional weekend / evening work

· Looking after dogs/animals when principles are away and providing general security.

The Grounds Maintenance role will be year-round, with an emphasis on spring, summer and early autumn. The hours can be flexible, but it is anticipated that they will be split over 2/3 days at 15 hours per week.

The Responsibilities will include:

· Maintaining the outdoor areas and basic landscaping duties.

· Seasonal maintenance tasks.

· General upkeep of outdoor equipment/tools.

· Assisting with minor repairs and maintenance.

· Driving as required.

Previous experience and good references are a pre-requisite.
