Personal Assistant Job Description
Live-in in carer (PA) required to compliment and work opposite the current carer (PA). The role is offered on an employed basis.

Hours of Work: live in care with a work pattern to be discussed of approximately a four – six week rota
Flexibility essential
Rate of Pay: £640.92 per week (nights are usually undisturbed)
All inclusive of food, telephone, broadband and use of car. Expenses provided whilst escorting lady out and about.
Pen Picture of the Person Requiring Assistance:
I am an older lady living in Margam, South Wales.
My entire work life background was nursing but now I need sincere, sensitive and discreet support to enable me to enjoy quality of life.
I have a quiet friendly personality, and enjoy company, however, I am equally happy with my own company at times as long as I am aware that the PA is within the house.
I like to socialise, go out for lunch and spend time with my sister regularly.
I need to be taken for health, hair or other appointments in my car.
I am mobile and love to potter in my house however, my eyesight is poor.
General Duties:
Support with day to day activities
Activities Include:
To help with some personal care such as washing, dressing and getting up from bed although I prefer to be as independent as possible.
Some light domestic support and preparing of meals from scratch.
And day to day activities
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
A person who is:
• Flexible and has an ability to provide empathy of real understanding
• Honesty, reliability. patience and loyalty are paramount
• With an understanding of true person-centred care
Previous experience is preferred but not essential as I am looking for a person with the above qualities
Additional Information:
This post will require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met), and if requested by the employer, two satisfactory references. This post is subject to a trial period.
Wages will be paid on a monthly basis (National Insurance Number required). You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement and associated pension.
