Residential Carer and Companion required for a 67 year-old lady living with her husband in a six-bed home with a large garden in rural Oxfordshire. She is well-supported by her husband, her children and many friends; it is expected that the Carer will be part of the family.

Our client has been diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and requires a Carer to help give her direction with her interests and hobbies with the focus on enjoyment of the activity.

Our client much enjoys drawing, painting, gardening, quilting and going for walks.

There is no personal care currently, but help with laundry, cooking and baking would be appreciated.

Driver preferred but non-drivers are welcome to apply; there is a bus stop near to the house.

The ideal candidate will have experience of dementia and/or FTD. Must be kind, patient, calm and flexible and an interest in art, gardening and walking is preferred.

Accommodation is a large ensuite room with desk, chair and TV. The Carer is warmly invited to have meals with the family.

The working week is Monday to Friday, and the appointee may stay in the house at the weekend or is free to go home at weekends if preferred.

A competitive salary is on offer to the successful candidate. A valid Enhanced DBS, recent checkable references are required.
