I am an older lady living in Margam South Wales.
My entire work life background was nursing but now I need sincere, sensitive, and discreet support to enable me to enjoy a good and happy quality of life.
I have a quiet friendly personality, enjoy companionship being read to and engaging in interesting conversation. I am also content to spend some time each day in my own company, if I am aware that the PA is in the house.
I am reasonably mobile, and use a zimmer and my stairlift, but my vision is poor, and I get breathless. I have moderate dementia (memory loss/forgetfulness)
I need to be driven to health, hair, or other appointments and social visits in my car. I especially like to visit my sister, (9 miles away).
General Duties:
Support with day-to-day activities including:
Housekeeping, shopping, preparation of meals from scratch. Help with personal care to support my getting up and going to bed, medication and companionship. Enabling me to be as independent, happy and dignified as possible within the constraints of being older.
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
A person who is:
• Flexible and has an ability to provide empathy of real understanding
• Honesty, reliability, patience and loyalty are paramount
• With an understanding of true person-centred care. Good communicator with me and my family.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential as I am looking for a person with the above qualities.
