Live-in companion/helper wanted for elderly couple. You will have your own room and bathroom in a large house with a beautiful garden in Ealing, West London (with good nearby transport links). Your hours on duty will vary, but will usually be 4 to 6 hours per day, often less, with lots of free time. It is essential, however, that you live-in as an overnight presence is essential.

And what is the job? The couple (aged 83 and 89) are getting frail; they use walking aids when out and about. They are bright, fun, interesting and interested. 

This is not a carer role.  There is no personal care involved, unless there is an emergency. They require, in essence, a spare pair of hands, an occasional driver, plus a presence in the home when the lady of the house is out (the gentleman is unsteady on his feet and cannot be left alone for too long).

Some light housework may be required (such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, clearing up after meals etc.), but no more than that – the family employ a full-time cleaner and will continue to do so.

You must like dogs – the household includes a very friendly, very small, Cavapoo bitch and she will need a daily walk in the park across the road.

You will speak good English and you must be a driver (this is not negotiable) , with a clean UK driving license, as there will be some routine driving – to the supermarket, the doctor, the hairdresser, Bridge etc.

Salary £500 per week net.
