Role Overview
We are seeking a warm, dedicated and experienced Live-In Companion Carer to provide exceptional one-to-one support for a lady living with late-stage Alzheimer’s disease in her family home near Horsham, West Sussex.

Job Details
Job Title: Live-In Companion Carer
Location: Near Horsham, West Sussex
Job Type: Live-In, One Week On / One Week Off
Hours: 10 hours a day, 8.30am – 8.30pm with a break between 3-5pm. Monday to Sunday
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care, companionship and support in a comfortable home environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities
- Administer and manage medication and medical / dental appointments
- Prepare meals and ensure lady is fed and hydrated
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Accompany the lady on outings and activities
- Organise and drive to medical appointments, Alzheimer’s exercise and singing groups
- Drive and support visits to gardens and places of interest
- Carry out light housekeeping and general cleaning duties
- Provide some assistance to her husband, including help with compression stockings and some driving to medical appointments
Requirements
Applicants should be:
- Compassionate, patient, discreet and dependable
- Organised and practical in their approach
- Experienced in caring for people living with Alzheimer’s
- Holders of a clean full clean UK driving licence

Schedule
- Live-in position
- One week on / one week off rota
Eligibility and Pre-Employment Checks

- Be comfortable working around a dog and be a non-smoker
Appointment will be subject to:
- Enhanced DBS check
- Right-to-work verification
- Credit checks
- Proof of current Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Two satisfactory employment references
