A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced, organised and flexible Housekeeper and Gardener Couple for a family-owned private Estate in North Devon. The family will also consider applications from sole Housekeepers and Gardeners. The family have three children and two dogs, and whilst it is a busy family home, they are relaxed and fairly informal. Full housekeeping duties in the main house which is over five floors, and outbuildings within the Estate. Occasional help with cooking at dinner parties or making stews for the family to have in the evening. Occasional childcare will be needed for school runs and babysitting as and when needed, with a rare possibility of an overnight stay.  You will need to be physically fit and a knowledge of fine art and antique care would be beneficial. Additional help will be sourced locally to assist with the housekeeping.  The Gardener should be experienced, have a good understanding of seasonal horticultural practices, good plant knowledge, keen eye for detail, able to work as part of a team, and autonomously.  Both candidates must be child and pet friendly and hold a full driving licence. Accommodation is a two-bed house on the Estate with all utilities included. A competitive salary is offered to the successful Couple.
