We are looking for a kind, capable and flexible live-in Housekeeper / Carer to join a warm family home in a beautiful Suffolk village, with some time also spent at the family’s Essex coastal holiday home.
This is a long-term role for someone who would like to become a trusted and valued part of family life. The role combines housekeeping, household organisation and gentle companion-care support for a lady in her mid-60s living with Alzheimer’s. You would live with a welcoming couple and two friendly Labradors, with your own private bedroom and bathroom.
This is not a highly clinical care role. It is a flexible position that the right person can help shape and make their own, working with the family to keep the home running smoothly and provide reassuring day-to-day support as care needs gradually increase.
Responsibilities include
· Housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and household organisation
· Shopping, errands, meal preparation and cooking
· Managing appointments, schedules and routines
· Medication prompts
· Companionship and support with outings, walks and trips
· Assistance with dressing and personal hygiene
· Practical support for the husband, who continues to manage well but would value live-in help.
We are looking for someone who is
· Warm, patient, caring, trustworthy and discreet
· Organised, proactive, practical and flexible
· Experienced in care, housekeeping, companion care, dementia support or a similar role
· Comfortable around dogs and happy living in a rural village setting
· Able and confident to drive
· Interested in a meaningful, long-term role within a family home
