We are on the hunt for a switched-on and proactive housekeeper to join a large and beautiful property near Basingstoke in Hampshire. 

The family have an Estate Manager, a Gardener and a weekend Nanny/Housekeeper, therefore a team player is important. You must have a keen eye for detail, have expert ironing skills and have incredibly high standards.

Duties include:

• All cleaning of the home, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping and wiping down surfaces

• Tidying the home, ensuring it is organised at all times

• Laundry and ironing (everything including bedding is ironed with a particular emphasis of immaculately ironed shirts)

• Changing bed sheets and making beds

• Basic wardrobe management of Female Principal

• Basic vegetable preparation

• Occasionally supervising the youngest child during breakfast

• Walk the dogs if the Estate Manager/female principal is not available (once a month)

• Running errands, such as going the post office and grocery shopping for essentials 

The ideal candidate will be child and animal friendly, as the family has both horses and dogs. You have the opportunity to be involved with the horses if that is of interest. Equally, if you are able to occasionally pick the child up from school or help with babysitting, this would be an added bonus. 

They are looking for candidates with a gentle personality who are highly efficient, proactive and discrete.

A driver is essential, however a vehicle can be provided during work hours if needed which is shared with the Estate Manager.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 gross per annum (DOE)
