Boarding House Supervisor (Matron) 

£18,362.46 per annum

Ardingly College is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Boarding House Supervisor to join a busy and dynamic team.

The post holder will support a team of professionals in a Boarding House to ensure the security, welfare, well-being and development of all students in the house. They will build positive, appropriate relationships with the students to promote their physical and emotional welfare. The post holder will support the students to maintain good standards of care for the house, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and will be responsible for the smooth running of the domestic arrangements of the house and the oversight of all cleaning and maintenance requirements.

The Boarding House Supervisor is expected to have a highly visible presence around the House and be accessible to students. The Boarding House Supervisor will liaise with support teams across the College and will assist the wider House Supervisory team as required.

The post holder will be required to attend and support official house and school functions and this may require occasional irregular working hours. This is a non-residential position.

Experience of housekeeping in an educational setting is desirable. Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to establish good working relationships and rapport with pupils and other stakeholders.

The hours for this role are 45 hours per week, term time only. Working hours are from 8.00am until 6.00pm Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays (you will work four days between Monday and Friday during weeks you are required to work a Saturday). Flexibility to support functions is also required. The salary is £18,362.46 per annum.
