Job description

Resident Estate Managers

Mytchett Heath, Mytchett, Nr Camberley

Mytchett Heath enjoys a rather idyllic setting in deepest Surrey, bordered by natural woodland, the Basingstoke Canal and Frimley Lodge Park. Built in 1995, the 43 properties are in set around two courtyards and surrounded by exotic trees, lawns, heathers and rhododendrons. Resident estate managers look after the day-to day maintenance of the buildings and grounds, the costs being shared equally by the residents.

Mytchett Heath is one of 60 exclusive private estates across the south of England managed by Cognatum Estates, a not-for-profit company.

We are looking to recruit a resident couple as joint estate managers.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day estate management and to be on hand to assist residents with advice and in emergencies.  This is a demanding job and requires a sympathetic and genial personality, but just as essential is the need to be well organized, practical and calm in a crisis.  Experience in building maintenance will be beneficial.  You will also be responsible for driving the estate minibus.

Maintenance and care of the grounds and communal gardens falls within the remit of the groundsman who also lives on the estate.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer. If you would like the opportunity to work in a highly rewarding environment and can rise to the challenge that managing a retirement estate demands, we would like to hear from you.

Closing date for applications:  Monday 12 August 2019
