Job description

Our international London based clients are looking for a nanny/housekeeper who will blend right into the home and family. Someone who has experience caring for young children is essential, as is the drive and experience to keep a family home organised and running smoothly. Someone who enjoys cooking is very important in this role, as they have struggled with finding ways and time to best have home cooked nutritious and good food ready for the whole family. This goes beyond basic food for the children - healthy, simple, and delicious meals for the parents as well (nothing fancy, no dinner parties, etc.).

They have 3 young children age 5, 2.5 and new-born so someone with this age range experience would be a huge bonus.

The clients love being at home and feel it’s the most important place in the world to them, so like to keep a good and positive energy within the house that's comfortable for everyone.

The candidates must be able to play with their very active and adventurous children - taking them to the park or a playdate - or happy to set up an arts and crafts activity at home. Being able to keep up with the children and play at their level is important. The boys can be a lively handful, so a confident, firm, yet loving carer is crucial.

A typical day could include: school run for one of both boys, grocery shopping, cooking, tidying, laundry, organising, children's activities, helping with meal times, bath and bedtime. Some days will be more children-oriented than others.

Ideal hours are 8am - 7pm (if parents are both home, can be earlier). Occasional evening babysitting and joining the family for travel is also a must.

Requirements: no holiday over school breaks (exception for Christmas/New Year’s), flexibility with hours, happy to travel with us, solid work experience, excellent references.

The clients don't have family here, so if there's an emergency they need the person to be understanding and helpful. Equally, they have always prioritised their nannies and will do everything possible to make them feel comfortable and at home with the family. Experience with potty training, new-borns, and weaning is a big bonus as Mum recently had a baby. (Agy)
