A full-time Resident Matron is required from February 2020 or earlier for Hemsted, a House of 67 girls aged 11-16. Working under the leadership of the Housemistress, the Resident Matron aims to promote and maintain a caring and happy environment in the House, offering pastoral guidance to students. Candidates should be organised, good motivators, enjoy the company of energetic young people and have reasonable computer skills. Matrons play a key role in the life of the House, supporting, enthusing, cajoling and calming students through their daily school lives.
Benenden School is an independent boarding school for 540 girls, founded in 1923 and situated in 240 acres of beautiful parkland in rural Kent. Benenden offers its own generous pay structure and benefits. The nearest railway station is 7 miles away providing direct links to London.
One-bedroomed accommodation is provided year-round in the Boarding House. Meals are provided in term time. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
