Job description

Committed, fun and capable Nanny required for this happy and busy family of four to assist in all aspects of organising the children’s lives, from the cooking to their activities.  The principals are very busy professionals, working full time, and this is a very informal and happy household.  You will be integral to the family and become very much a part of their lives but you should also expect to have sole charge for most of day.  As such there is a requirement to work from your own initiative to help ensure the children’s lives are organised and the parents feel supported.  The two children, 8 and 6 years old, are at different schools very close to the home, you should expect the school run to be your responsibility.

Our clients live in a large 5 bedroom family home with an acre of garden and woodland in Beaconsfield, just 10 minutes’ walk from the station and all amenities in the town.  They family also have a cleaner and gardener, no pets. There is a car for the nanny for both personal and work use.

Role will include:

    • Provide Proxy Parent support when required
    • School runs and after school activities
  • Assistance with extra-curricular and supervision of homework and music practice
  • Setting a good example and help with keeping the children’s routine
  • Assist with running the diaries and organising daily and weekly activitiesnsure all children’s laundry is done and school/activity bags are packed
  • 2 nights babysitting per week

  • The Cooking duties in this role will be:
      • Provide all meals for the children plus batch cook for the freezer (for use at the weekends).
    • Undertake grocery shopping and various orders

The successful candidate will be experienced in working in this type of environment, using their initiative and understand the need to be flexible.   You should be loyal and enjoy being with a family, ideally with a long term view to stay and  have a passion for cooking healthy meals plus an eye for detail.  The ability to organise, arrange logisitics and support busy diaries will be invaluable and you should be committed to providing a complete service.   Adaptability skills are paramount, this as an organic role as the children grow and their needs change.  A good sense of humour will be welcomed and a creative streak would be a bonus. You must be able to drive and have a full clean driving licence along with up to date DBS and recent, excellent references.

Top floor of the house-large en suite room.

Hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30am-7.30pm with a long break in the middle of the day. (AGY)
