Our client is looking for a physically fit, pro-active and experienced person to work on their 30 acre private estate in South Oxfordshire.Must be a team player and able to work independently as well as alongside others and it is essential that the candidate meets all the requirements listed below.

Someone who is a real self-starter and is willing to use their initiative and work without instruction on this residential estate with a female principal. This is a physically demanding job that requires lots of energy to complete the daily tasks required and upkeep of the grounds.

Main duties to include:

Mowing of lawns and paths

Woodland management

Vermin control

Hedge trimming

Fence and Gate installation and maintenance

Topping, harrowing, rolling and spraying of pastures

Care of hard tennis court

Maintenance and cleaning of three vehicles as well as tractor, mowers, tools and machinery

Handling and sourcing firewood and kindling

Clearance of autumn leaves and snow and ice in winter

Gravel path and drive maintenance

Pond, fountain and water trough maintenance- all with pumps

Occasional airport and station runs throughout the year

General property maintenance and management

Estate security observance

Will be working closely with other household staff comprising of full time housekeeper, part time Gardener and a full time estate steward so must be able to liaise and work alongside them therefore experience of working in small domestic staff team would be of benefit.

Chainsaw and Spray certification essential for this role.

Accommodation: Rented accomodation locally paid for by the client except utilities and council tax until completion of an onsite bungalow.

Routine hours to be 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Salary of £25,000 Gross PA plus statutory minimum of 28 days paid holiday.
