Our clients, a businessman and his wife, are seeking an experienced domestic couple to manage their beautiful, 8-bedroomed country manor, situated rurally within a 250 acre estate.

The principals currently spend four months of the year here during the summer. They also visit during the Christmas holidays when the house is always full of family and friends.

This is a busy role when the principals are in residence, and you will be able to manage your own time when the principals are away. The role is Monday-Friday, but flexibility is needed when the principals are there, and time off will be given during the week in lieu of any weekend working.

Housekeeper: You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation throughout the residence, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for the principals and guests. Assist with meal preparation and manage the grocery shopping for the household. You will be expected to work as part of a team.

Estates and Maintenance Manager: Your primary responsibility will be for the grounds and buildings. Maintaining a high standard of the residence and grounds and ensure the security of the estate. The groundwork requires someone who is physically fit and ideally you will have horticultural experience. If you are comfortable around horses, this would be advantageous.

Accommodation: A one-bed cottage with sitting room and an open fire, kitchen, bath and shower, and own garden (which is not overlooked) in the grounds with all utilities plus Wi-Fi included. The cottage is unfurnished although there is a new double bed in situ. There is an apartment nearby which the couple can use for visiting family. Well-behaved pets (dogs) are welcome.

A car is provided for work purposes and both candidates must be drivers and hold a clean licence. A valid DBS certificate is required. (AGY.)
