A unique opportunity to support and care for Victoria, a kind and creative woman with a love for art, design, reading, and cooking.

A former knitwear designer, she enjoys quiet moments with her cats, time in her garden overlooking the sea, sharing stories about her life and spending time with her family.

Following the loss of her husband of 70 years, Victoria is grieving and sometimes experiences distress due to dementia, though she is generally content with reading and peaceful companionship. She requires gentle reminders for daily tasks and supervision when out and about.  

We are seeking a warm, patient, and experienced Live-In Companion with a strong understanding of dementia care to provide:
Daily routine support and reassurance
Conversation, stimulation and general prompting
Meal preparation with light assistance and involvement from Victoria
Light housekeeping and general cleaning duties
Dementia care experience is essential, along with a compassionate and attentive approach.

This role would suit someone who values meaningful companionship in a calm, artistic home in an amazing Island location.

Someone who is creative themselves and is able to fill time with their own activities as well as supporting Victoria.

The house is a very creative environment, there is access to a large workshop and a small garden right on the sea.

Shetland is an amazing place with a great community.  The right person would have time to explore and experience it all.

We have other people including family members who are involved in Victoria's care. You would be part of a team.
