Job Specifications

A kind, Live-In Carer (already living in the UK) is required for an elderly couple, 91-year-old, male constrained to a Zimmer frame with Alzheimer’s Dementia and an 86-year-old, female with Alzheimer’s Dementia. Six days per week with 40 days off (paid) per annum.

 

Face-to-face interview either video e.g. Zoom or physical required. Shadow handover should be available. Skeleton daily routine and detailed care plan available. Essentials: References, DBS check, paid live-in care experience, Alzheimer Dementia experience, UK based with right to work in UK, fluent English. Driver, Self-employed status. Desirable: Non-smoker, open-minded, empathetic, sense of humour, flexible, willing, patient, organised, reliable, responsible, efficient, conscientious, resourceful, considerate, compassionate.

 

Male needs assistance with Personal care, bathing and shaving, dressing, walking, exercise and management of medication. Night assistance occasionally required. Female needs assistance with management of medication only. Couple need assistance with meal planning and preparation, washing dishes, laundry, shopping, short daily exercises and companionship. Light cleaning only as professional cleaners visit fortnightly and physiotherapist visits male twice weekly. Occasional transportation for medical visits and running errands. Medication for both delivered by post. Food shopping delivered to house. Pet care (cat). In our adapted five bedroomed house (single hospital bed, toilet frame, bathroom highchair, transfer aid, rise/recliner chair, grab rails on stairs, walking frames and wheeled rollator) close to Bicester with amenities (post office, Tesco, buses, etc) within mature garden and walking distance of quiet Oxfordshire countryside.
