This is a unique opportunity for a Personal Assistant / Lady’s Companion to support a UHNW individual who values tradition and formality, within her private Central London residence. Best described as closer to a Lady-in-Waiting than a conventional Personal Assistant, the role centres on presence, companionship, discretion, and impeccable standards rather than corporate executive support.
The successful candidate will accompany the Principal to engagements, social and cultural events, private dinners, and appointments, offering quiet reassurance and practical day-to-day assistance, enabling her full and varied commitments to be managed with grace and care.
The private office operates from her home, supported by an established, close-knit team who work collaboratively and discreetly on her behalf.
Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant / Lady’s Companion in Central London, include:
Managing all correspondence, both written and electronic
Diary and schedule management, ensuring commitments are handled smoothly and thoughtfully
Booking and managing reservations for restaurants, theatre, concerts and cultural events
Organising all aspects of travel
General administration and day-to-day office management
Minor financial responsibilities, including procuring services, managing household purchases and processing invoices
Organising and overseeing private dinners, parties and “at home” events
Personal support duties, including:
Scheduling and managing medical appointments
Overseeing prescriptions
Attending medical appointments with the Principal when required
Accompanying the Principal to engagements and social occasions
Candidates must be/have:
Naturally discreet, composed and emotionally intelligent, with a strong sense of personal integrity
Comfortable and experienced in working very closely with a private individual and able to build a relationship based on trust, respect and empathy
Equally adept at taking instruction and using initiative when appropriate
Confident and polished when interacting with a broad range of individuals – from beneficiaries of charitable foundations to internationally recognised figures, always using correct etiquette and judgement
Able to work quietly and effectively as part of an established household team, valuing collaboration and mutual respect
Highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail
Calm, unflappable and gracious under pressure
Comfortable in a formal household environment with traditional expectations
An appreciation of / comfort around, dogs would be an advantage
Hours
Full-time, 10:00 – 19:00, Monday – Friday. Occasional evening work may be required.
Salary
In the region of £85,000.
