Our client is seeking a dedicated, proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeping team to join the household staff of a large, formal private residence near Andover in Hampshire.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the main house, outbuildings, staff accommodation and guest cottages to the highest of standards.
The estate operates at an exceptionally high standard of service and are fully staffed, including Butlers, Chefs, Security, and Chauffeurs so you will be part of the most efficient team.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a large formal private residence or a 5-star hotel. This is a demanding but rewarding role that requires a keen eye for detail, discretion, a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively within a team where confidentiality is paramount.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Assisting the House Manager with day-to-day housekeeping operations.
• Perform full housekeeping duties, ensuring all areas of the residence are immaculately maintained, including the main house, all outbuildings
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all areas
• Laundry management, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe care.
• Impeccable bed making
• Polishing silverware and caring for fine furniture, fixtures, and delicate materials.
• Ensuring rooms are always presented to an exemplary standard.
• Assisting and communicating effectively with the House.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and a passion for high standards.
• Previous experience in a formal private residence or 5-star hotel.
• A flexible, reliable, honest and professional attitude with a willingness to assist in various household tasks.
• Energetic and physically fit, as the property is set over multiple floors.
• A team player who thrives in a fully staffed household and can work collaboratively.
• Polished, well-presented, discreet, and able to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Have experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills and professional demeanour.
• Must be discrete, reliable, trustworthy, honest and able to maintain confidentiality
• A proactive attitude, flexible and adaptable with a strong work ethic, willing to muck in and help other teams on the Estate.
Benefits:
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
