Location: Near Newbury, North Hampshire, UK
Position Type: Full-time, Live-in
We are seeking a warm, organized, and proactive individual to join a private household in a beautiful country house. This is a multi-faceted role supporting a couple in their daily lives, ensuring the home runs smoothly while providing dedicated companionship and care.
You will be joining a supportive environment, complemented by a part-time cleaner, full-time gardener and part-time PA, allowing you to focus on the finer details of home management, cooking, and personal support.

Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care & Support
• Providing attentive, respectful care for the principals, including assistance with mobility or daily routines as required.
• Managing appointments, medications (if applicable), and providing general companionship.
• Driving to medical appointments or social engagements when necessary.
• Accompanying on shopping trips when required.
• Ensuring vehicles are always clean and fuelled.
2. Culinary Excellence
• Planning, shopping for, and preparing meals; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner each day.
• Catering to dietary preferences and cooking for visiting family on occasion.
• Maintaining a pristine and well-stocked kitchen and pantry.
3. Housekeeping & Management
• Overseeing the general presentation of the house.
• Booking repair services and tradesman and supervising them onsite.
• Managing laundry and wardrobe care for the couple.
• Coordinating with the part-time cleaner to ensure the high standards.
• Running errands and managing household deliveries.
4. Animal Care
• Looking after two gentle, well-behaved resident dogs; walking, feeding, clearing up, taking to vets and grooming appointments when required.
• Take care of 3 Chickens; feeding, collecting eggs and shutting away at night.

Candidate Requirements
• Experience: Proven experience in a professional caregiving role and previous experience within a private household or high-end hospitality.
• Driving: A confident and safe driver with a clean UK driving license (essential for the rural location).
• Skills: Excellent home-style cooking skills.
• Attributes: Discretion, patience, and a "can-do" attitude. You should be someone who enjoys the rhythm of country life and finds fulfilment in supporting others.
• DBS: A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Working Hours & Benefits
• Schedule: Generally, 40hrs per week ie: Thurs – Mon with flexibility.
• Salary: By applicant, depending on experience. 4 weeks paid holiday.
• Accommodation: Live-in, self-contained annex with double bedroom, sitting room, bathroom, kitchen annex. All utilities included. No dependants or pets.
• Environment: A peaceful, respectful, and scenic workplace. With equestrian facilities and equestrian staff on-site.
