LIVE-IN DOMESTIC COUPLE - HOUSEKEEPER/COOK AND DRIVER/GARDENER/HANDYMAN (M/F) REQUIRED FOR A LARGE PROPERTY NEAR CHELTENHAM
Our clients are looking for an experienced Live-in Housekeeper/Cook and Driver/Gardener/Handyman couple for a large 11 bedroom house near Cheltenham, working Monday-Friday 40-50 hours per week with the flexibility to work ad hoc at weekends. Both candidates must be drivers as this is essential to the role and pet friendly; the family have three dogs and three cats. The ideal couple will be proactive, hardworking team players looking for a long term position. The Housekeeper/Cook - must have housekeeping experience to a high standard; all domestic cleaning and caring for a large house to include laundry and ironing, antiques and specialist fabrics, cooking and meal preparation and provide additional support when entertaining. The Gardener/Driver/Handyman role to include mowing, strimming, cleaning resin pathways, helping with maintenance tasks and some decorating when required. Car maintenance including washing, arranging MOTs and driving the Principals locally and to London.
The accommodation is a private two bedroom cottage within the village which is a short walk away. Pets considered but no dependants. Start as soon as possible £70k PA, please apply with an up to date CV, two references and a valid DBS. (AGY)
Will be responsible for:
• General housekeeping
• Care and cleaning of antiques and silver
• Laundry and ironing
• Home organisation and daily cleaning duties
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Assistance when required for entertaining.
• Assistance with packing and unpacking for family travel.
• House sitting
• Caring for the family pets (no dog walking required)
Driver/Gardener
Will be responsible for:
• Mowing, strimming, cleaning resin pathways, helping with maintenance tasks and some decorating when required.
• Car maintenance also required such as arranging MOTs, washing and driving the principals locally and to London.
Accommodation
A private two bed cottage within the village which is a short walk away from the property.
Both candidates must be drivers as essential for this role and must be pet friendly as the family have three dogs and three cats.
Working Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours per week with flexibility to work ad hoc weekends.
