Full Time Houseman (m/f) Required – Cotswolds
We are seeking an experienced live-in Houseman (m/f) who will oversee the day-to-day operations of our residence in the Cotswolds.
The candidate will be hands on and responsible for all the details of the home. The position requires a high energy individual with an excellent work ethic and a strong sense of pride in all that they do.
This is a permanent full-time position starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining the property to an exceptionally high standard, including the thorough cleaning of all rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, polishing and window cleaning
• Property maintenance duties include the responsibility for the checking of all mechanical and electrical systems including audio visual equipment and integrated technical equipment.
• The position will include front of house duties.
• Handle laundry duties – washing, ironing, pressing linen.
• Supervise visiting tradesmen & general security / presence at the house.
• Maintaining an inventory of kitchen and household supplies and re-stocking consumables when necessary.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of all living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and recreational areas
• Basic Gardening & Grounds Maintenance Duties – mowing grass, strimming, edging, weeding, leaf blowing and upkeep of paths and walkways around the Lakes.
• General Property Maintenance – small maintenance jobs around the property, touching up paintwork, jet washing the terrace, maintaining gutters, cleaning the garage, cars, and quad bikes.
• Other duties as required.
Requirements
An enthusiastic and multi-talented individual is required to support a private household.
The essential requirements are flexibility, loyalty, and discretion. The candidate must have the ability to work unsupervised, possess a can-do attitude and a practical skill set for this hands-on role.
