Our clients are a family of five with three grown up children who live away from home but visit regularly. An average week, the principals work a mixture of days in London and from home.They are looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to house, animal and gardening needs when they are at home/working from home as well as work independently when we are away, either for work or longer periods of holiday.

Gardening (5 acre garden roughly 1/3 lawn/borders and the rest wild meadow): Keeping all garden machinery in good condition/repair (plus professional help if needed). Mowing and strimming; weeding; leaf blowing, managing compost/mulch, managing garden waste, cutting back/pruning plants, planting. Preparation, cultivation and maintenance of vegetable patch. Managing wild meadow and trees (with help from tree surgeons when necessary). Buying produce necessary for the garden (within an agreed budget).

Enjoying dog care is an important part of this role.  They have an elderly Labrador and a younger Dalmatian mix who can be nervous around other dogs on a walk (but very friendly with people and other dogs visiting our home), so confidence and experience walking dogs is important. We have lovely walks directly off our garden with minimal other dog walkers. Family members walk the dogs, when possible, but this can vary from week to week depending on work commitments.

Monday-Friday 30 hours per week, exact hours tbd. Some evening/overnight dog care, and weekends when they are away (all pre agreed and paid additionally).

Accommodation: a one bed cottage on the property is included. The cottage is fully furnished. All bills included except electricity.
