We are looking for a Live-in Housekeeper for a lovely client of ours. The family live in a large 5-bedroom property in the village of Shenley, Hertfordshire. The family is composed of Mum, Dad and 3 children aged 14, 12 and 8. They also have 4 small dogs.
The house is a busy home, with lots of people coming and going, including guests etc. but it is a fun home and environment to be in.
They are looking for a Housekeeper not only to assist them with the household duties, but to also be a part of their home and family, someone who is looking to stay long term.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Keep all rooms vacuumed, dusted, clean and tidy at all times
• Maintain the laundry and ironing
• Change all bed linen, towels etc
• Cooking – basic. If you can help prepare basic dinner for the kids (things like pasta etc) this would be great. If you can cook more than basic, that’s amazing but not essential.
• Receive deliveries and deal with contractors
• Help when the family is entertaining (prepare things, clear up afterwards etc)
• In the summer the family spends a lot of time outside in the garden and at the swimming pool so make sure you change/ wash the swimming pool towels, etc.
• Feed the 4 small dogs and let them out in the garden. Dad usually walks them.
• Any other duties as needed
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7am and 8pm with a long break in between. There will also be an opportunity to work overtime for extra pay.
Accommodation: The Housekeeper would be own room and bathroom on the top floor.
Their last housekeeper has been with them for 3 years and highly recommends them.

Requirements:
They are looking for someone with previous housekeeping experience in a private household.
Someone lovely and friendly, smiley with a cheerful personality, happy to work in a household with children, and also to be ‘part of the family’. Someone who can work on their own initiative and who will ‘hit the ground running’/ who will help run the house!
