A HNW family based in North Hampshire are seeking a discreet, motivated House Manager / Family Assistant to assist an elderly principal with her day-to-day needs. The ideal candidate will provide emotional and social support, assist with daily activities, and ensure a refined and enriching lifestyle for the client. This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual with patience, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide both practical and emotional support.
The role will be 40 hours a week (with some evening and weekend work required) offering a competitive salary, based on experience, and accommodation (in lodgings near to the client’s residence) offered with the role.
Key Responsibilities: Provide companionship, emotional support, and intellectual engagement. Accompany the client to social events, cultural outings, and travel engagements. Assist with personal organisation, daily schedules, and lifestyle management. Liaise with the household staff, personal assistants, and family members as needed. Arrange and oversee leisure activities, ensuring a stimulating and enjoyable lifestyle. Perform light household chores including addressing maintenance issues, cleaning and cooking. On site accommodation to provide assistance and help in the event of emergencies.
Required Qualifications & Skills: A patient individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a refined and professional demeanour. Highly adaptable, discreet, and emotionally intelligent. Ability to travel with the client, when required. Computer literate (essential). First aid qualifications (essential). A valid UK driving license (essential). Comfortable with dogs in the workplace (essential). Experience in a similar role or working in a private household (preferred).
