A private household just outside Canterbury requires an experienced, independent and discreet carer to assist an elderly lady with many interests and a busy social life, including travel abroad.

The 91 y/o lady uses an electric wheelchair and requires assistance with personal care, dressing, medication and transfers.

The role includes someone who is flexible, kind, communicative, who can work autonomously and well as alongside other professional care assistants closely. The role is a live-out role (no accommodation is provided) and would require the candidate to travel with the family outside of the UK for extended periods of time. Any contractor should be comfortable around dogs.

Ideally the contractor would be Portuguese speaking, with a full, clean driving licence who has experience driving in the UK and abroad.

Enhanced DBS certificate and recent checkable references required. Non-smoker essential.

Any contractor would need suitable flexibility to work 2-3 days per week (working closely with other carers), 8am-10pm (occasionally longer, depending on the client’s commitments).
